El Cajon, CA (August 26, 2024) A wrong-way crash left a motorist deceased and another moderately injured on Sunday, August 25.
A 49-year-old resident of Lakeside was driving eastbound on Interstate 8 around 12:45 a.m. when she collided head-on with another vehicle. Tragically, she died at the scene. Authorities believe that she may have been driving under the influence.
The other motorist who was hit head-on sustained moderately serious injuries and was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital.
