Bakersfield, CA (August 21, 2023) At least one person was killed after a crash in Bakersfield, according to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Website. It happened on Sunday, August 20th, shortly before 2:30 p.m.

The accident initially came in as an injury crash, but at least one person has died from the accident. The cause is still unknown but authorities suspect a DUI is to blame. The accident took place on South Martin Luther King Boulevard, just north of State Route 58.
