Legal Analysis on the Baltic Vehicle Crash

When a vehicle crash involves pedestrian and motor vehicle, investigators review yield various law codes to help determine why and how the vehicle crash occurred.

Because the driver struck the pedestrian, it’s possible that the driver did not yield the right-of-way. In that case, the driver may have violated California Vehicle Code 21950 (c). This law requires drivers to exercise care when pedestrians approach a marked/unmarked crosswalk..

Another possibility that resulted in the death of the pedestrian is the driver having a lack of vision. Investigators may review California Vehicle Code 21061 if the driver had a traffic officer issue an eye reexamination due to any safety concerns in regard to the driver’s eye sight.
