(San Fernando Valley, CA)  A Tesla vehicle crashed into a white truck causing multiple injuries in San Fernando Valley.

The collision occurred around 5:45 P.M yesterday, on the westbound 210 Freeway. California Highway Patrol confirmed that the Tesla driver traveling at high speed, crashed into the truck.

After the incident, there was reports that a collision occurred involving multiple vehicles. The truck on the other hand, got caught on fire but is no longer in flames as the firefighters extinguished the flames.

The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that four people were getting assessed for treatment and/or taken to hospitals.

At this time, the injured individuals have not been identified.

    Westbound 210 Overview

Generally, investigators are looking for laws that prohibit situations like this. They may look at California’s speed law codes such as Vehicle Code (22350). This code requires all California drivers not to drive higher than reasonable.

If minors occupied the Tesla vehicle, then investigators may look into Motor Vehicle Transaction With Minors Law (15500). This code prohibits minors from purchasing, leasing, or attempting to purchase or lease. It also prohibits contract to purchase or lease, accept or obtain a vehicle.

Because the truck caught on fire, investigators may take a look at Equipment of Vehicles (27903). If  believed that there was other factors that triggered a fire other than the collision. They may question whether the vehicle was already carrying a high risk inflammatory material.

In California, if a vehicle is carrying loads of dangerous materials, federal law requires hazard warning placards on the exterior part of the vehicle. By law, placards cannot be placed on vehicles unless required or allowed.

Investigators may also take a look on Transportation of Hazardous Material (32002). A law that  prohibits a motor carrier or person leading drivers in transporting dangerous material when the transportation aspect requires a license.
