San Diego, CA (August 26, 2023) A woman is dead after a car crashed into an electric box on Saturday, the San Diego Police Department confirmed. The accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. in the Ridgeview/Webster neighborhood.
A 2014 Kia Forte was traveling south on the 1300 block of Euclid Avenue, driven by a 31-year-old woman. Suddenly, for unknown reasons, she swerved to the right. According to the San Diego Police Department, she drove onto the sidewalk and crashed into an electrical box.

The driver and the passenger, a 22-year-old woman, got out of the car after the collision. For some reason, the passenger attempted to push the car away from the electrical box. Sadly, she was electrocuted. The San Diego Police Department said she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was taken to a local hospital by an ambulance with minor electrical burns. Authorities said they do not think her injuries are life-threatening.
The San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division is investigating this accident.
