Las Vegas, NV (June 26, 2024) A tragic crash in east Las Vegas left a young man with severe injuries and an older gentleman deceased.
It was about 8:04 p.m. on June 16 when an 82-year-old man driving a 2021 Kia Soul approached a stop sign. The sign was at Hacienda Avenue, and the man was heading south.
Police say that the man did not stop at the sign. Instead, he rolled into the intersection where he hit a Lexus driven by a 19-year-old. When authorities arrived, they rushed the Lexus driver, whose name is Andrik Martinez Enriquez, to Sunrise Hospital. Reports say his injuries were very serious, but at the time of writing, there has not been an update on his condition.
The 82-year-old was taken to Saint Rose Dominican Hospital, but sadly, the Clark County Coroner office has reported that he passed away. His identity has not been announced.
