      Valley Of Fire Crash Leaves Two Dead, One Injured In Longdale

      Longdale, NV (April 30, 2024) Sadness swept over the Valley of Fire as news spread of a collision that claimed two lives and injured one. This tragic crash happened right around 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30th, 50 miles north of Las Vegas. Mile Marker 12, near Longdale, was where the traumatic crash played out, on State Route 169.

      The Nevada State Police said two vehicles collided, for reasons unknown, on State Route 169 in the Valley of Fire area of Longdale. The Collision caused major damage to both vehicles and left them blocking the highway. The roadway was covered in glass and debris from the collision. Officers reported that Interstate 15 at the 93 Exit and State Route 169 at Wells Road were closed for several hours following the accident.

      Police rushed to check the vehicles for anyone with injuries and found two men who were unresponsive. Paramedics did everything they could, but the victims’ injuries were too severe. Sadly, they were both pronounced dead at the scene. Officers covered the bodies and called the coroner, according to reports.

      They also found a woman in one of the cars who was alive, but had life-threatening injuries. Paramedics called for an air ambulance to come to the scene. The victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital and is said to be in serious condition.

      Officers began investigating the scene and are determined to understand what caused this fatal Longdale accident. They also plan to determine who was at fault in this deadly crash.
