Eastvale, CA (October 3, 2024) Sadness swept across the community of Eastvale on Wednesday night, following a collision that claimed one person’s life. The two vehicles collided on Limonite Avenue at approximately 7:00 p.m., according to reports. Sadly, one person lost their life in the Riverside County collision.
Not far from Harrison Avenue in Eastvale, two vehicles were headed along Limonite Avenue when they suddenly collided. The cause of this collision remains under investigation. The two damaged vehicles blocked the roadway near the 13800 block of Limonite Avenue, officers reported. A field of debris surrounded the two vehicles, causing traffic hazards.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the two vehicles, both with major damage. Officers made their way to the vehicles, ready to help anyone in need of medical care. Unfortunately, they found one person who had died in the accident and pronounced them dead at the scene. Officers reported that two other people inside the vehicles declined medical care at the scene. The fatal victim has been identified as Jassmin Hurtado, a 26-year-old.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is leading the investigation. They are determined to uncover what caused this accident, as well as who was at fault. Tow trucks were called to the scene to remove both damaged vehicles from the roadway. Crews then worked as quickly as they could to sweep the debris off the road, as well.
