Apple Valley, CA (August 6, 2024) A two-vehicle collision in Apple Valley claimed one person’s life on Tuesday morning, August 6th. The fatal accident occurred on Bear Valley Road, not far from Quinnault Road, right around 6:45 a.m. The accident not only claimed a life, but also sent two people to a hospital, according to reports.

An SUV was traveling west on Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley on Tuesday morning. At the same time, a sedan was heading east on the same road. Spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Department, Gloria Huera, reported that the two vehicles collided, head-on, for reasons that are still unknown. The collision left the two vehicles with major damage and sent debris and glass flying all over the roadway, reports indicated.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and quickly checked the vehicles, ready to offer aid to anyone in need. They found the driver of the sedan deceased behind the wheel of the vehicle. With heavy hearts, they pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Two occupants inside the SUV were found with serious injuries, according to reports. Paramedics transported both victims to a local hospital to receive emergency treatment. Reports indicated that the Apple Valley Fire Protection District firefighters asked for an airship to take one of the injured victims to a trauma center that wasn’t in the area. The victim was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center by Mercy Air, according to reports.
