Pacoima, CA (June 6, 2024) A multi-vehicle collision on the Ronald Reagan 118 Freeway left three people with injuries, two of them were in critical condition. It happened around 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4th, near the Foothill 210 Freeway. The accident caused traffic to back up on the freeway, according to reports.

As vehicles traveled along the Ronald Reagan 118 Freeway on Tuesday night, three vehicles collided for reasons unknown. The force of the collision caused one of the vehicles to overturn, leaving two people trapped, reports indicated. Debris was tossed all over the freeway like confetti during the crash.

Sirens could be heard in the distance, growing louder as emergency crews hurried to the scene. The dark, night sky was suddenly illuminated by flashing emergency lights. Firefighters with the Los Angeles Fire Department used specialized hydraulic tools to extricate the two people trapped inside the vehicle. Both people had sustained critical injuries in the accident and were rushed to a local hospital via ambulance to receive emergency care.

A third person was injured in this collision as well. They sustained major, but non-life-threatening injuries in the accident. They were loaded into an ambulance and taken to a local hospital to receive further treatment, according to officers at the scene.

Investigators gathered evidence and spoke to witnesses at the scene. They are determined to figure out what caused this violent accident, as well as who was at fault. A tow truck was called to the scene to remove at least one of the severely damaged vehicles from the freeway, following the investigation of the scene. Crews then worked as quickly as they could to clear the freeway of glass and debris that was left behind by the accident.
