Lancaster, CA (June 9, 2024) A crazy accident in Lancaster on Saturday, June 8th, left at least three people with injuries. The driver of an alleged stolen vehicle collided into a sedan and another vehicle at an intersection, according to reports. The accident took place at the intersection of 20th Street East and Avenue J right around 3:40 p.m. It left three people with injuries, officers said.

It all started with a stolen vehicle, according to reports. A gray SUV that was allegedly stolen was driving through Lancaster when the driver noticed deputies patrolling the area, Sgt. J. McNutt told City News Service. The man driving the SUV hit the gas and tried to flee the area as he sped through an intersection. The driver of the SUV struck a silver sedan, another vehicle and a traffic signal pole in his attempt to flee.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the driver of the SUV and two people in the sedan with injuries. They were loaded into ambulances and taken to a local hospital to receive treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, according to reports.

Deputies gathered evidence at the scene and took statements from witnesses, as well as those involved in this collision. They are working to learn exactly what caused this accident in Lancaster. Rumors of a DUI began to spread, but Sgt. McNutt said they could not confirm the allegations at this time. The investigation is ongoing, officers said. Tow trucks were called to remove vehicles from the scene and crews worked to clean up debris that had been thrown all over the roadway.
