(Fullerton, CA) A three-vehicle collision killed a man and female passenger in Fullerton.
Fullerton Police Department officers informed the three-car crash took place at around 6:45 a.m. Saturday near Orangethorpe Avenue and State College Boulevard.
The white Tesla sped eastbound on Orangethorpe Avenue. After running a red light at the intersection, it first struck the passenger side of a gray 1991 Toyota pickup truck and then collided with the passenger side of an Orange County Transit Authority bus.
The Toyota pickup truck had moderate passenger-side damage, the Tesla had significant front-end damage, and the OCTA bus had moderate driver-side damage.
First responders pronounced the adult female passenger in the white Tesla dead at the scene. Paramedics rushed the driver to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries due to the three-car crash.
The driver of the Toyota pick-up and the OCTA bus involved in the collision remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Five passengers riding the OCTA bus were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
