Victorville, CA (April 26, 2024) A two-vehicle collision on US Highway 395 in Vicotorville left six people with injuries, reports indicated. The accident took place just after 3:00 p.m. near Eucalyptus Street on Thursday, April 25th. Officers at the scene reported that about half of the victims were children.

A silver Chrysler Pacifica minivan was driving south on US Highway 395, towards Eucalyptus Street. At the same time, a burgundy Dodge Ram pickup truck was heading east Eucalyptus Street, approaching Highway 395. At approximately 3:09 p.m., both vehicles entered the intersection and collided. The minivan slammed into the front, driver’s side of the pickup, reports indicated.

The Victorville City Fire Department received the call and rushed to the scene. They found the minivan with major front-end damage and the pickup with major damage to the driver’s side. Firefighters said that four people inside the minivan, several of whom were children, sustained injuries from the crash.

The driver of the pickup truck was found trapped inside the vehicle, officers said. Firefighters had to use specialized hydraulic tools to free the driver. The driver and the passenger of the pickup were also injured in the collision. Firefighters said they found a total of six victims with minor to moderate injuries. All six were loaded into ambulances and transported to local hospitals to receive treatment, reports indicated.

The Victorville Police Department is leading the investigation into this collision on Highway 395. They are determined to figure out what exactly happened to cause this two-vehicle collision and who was responsible. Tow trucks had to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene and crews worked as quickly as they could to remove debris from the intersection.
