Penngrove, CA (November 3, 2023) – 38 year old Ronald Hughes suffered fatal injuries on Sunday, October 29th, due to a tragic hit and run crash on Petaluma Hill Road in Penngrove, California. According to the local news source, KSRO, the accident occurred in the early morning in the area just south of East Railroad Avenue.
Hughes was walking north along Petaluma Hill Road when an unidentified vehicle struck him from behind. The vehicle failed to stop and assist Hughes, instead fleeing the scene of the accident.

Hughes suffered major injuries in the collision and was unconscious in the roadway. Paramedics responded quickly to the scene to help Hughes, but despite their best efforts he did not make it, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
