Corona, CA (October 23, 2023) – 40 year-old man, Rodrigo Hernandez sadly lost his life on Thursday, October 19th in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Parkridge Avenue. According to The Sun, a local news source, the crash was reported at 10:10 p.m., occurring in the 200 block of Parkridge.
According to the Corona Police Department reports, a man was hit by a car while walking on East Parkridge Avenue and the driver of the car fled the scene without stopping to assist the victim. Bystanders reported the accident and officers responded, discovering the man immobile on the ground with severe injuries. They also found substantial vehicle debris, suggesting that the perpetrating car was damaged in the crash.
Paramedics responded to assist Rodrigo Hernandez, but sadly he passed away due to his injuries. Turning this fateful accident fatal.

Police worked tirelessly to find the vehicle and driver involved in the hit-and-run. They soon found a vehicle that matched the description and damage from the scene of the accident in the 300 block of nearby McKinley Street. Police have detained the 53 year-old owner of the vehicle under suspicion of driving under the influence. Unfortunately, they had to later release him for lack of evidence.
Police are still investigating the hit-and-run that took the life of Rodrigo Hernandez.
