Livingston, CA (November 14, 2023) – A pedestrian was severely injured on Monday, November 13th, in a tragic truck accident on SR-99 (also called the Golden State Highway) in Livingston, California. According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, the accident occurred around 11:35 p.m. in the area just south of Liberty Avenue.
The CHP reports that a semi-truck was driving on the southbound side of Highway 99 when it struck a pedestrian, who was in the roadway for unknown reasons. Fortunately, the truck driver stayed at the scene after the accident to report the incident and cooperate with authorities.

The pedestrian sustained severe injuries in the collision and was unresponsive when paramedics arrived. The victim ended up requiring an airlift to a hospital in Modesto for life saving treatment.
Police are investigating the cause of the truck accident on SR-99.
