Marin County, CA (August 21, 2024) A tragic head-on collision left the community of San Geronimo saddened on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024. News reports indicated that one person was killed in this horrible collision that occurred just after 8:00 a.m. The California Highway Patrol hurried to the scene at the intersection of Nicasio Valley Road and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard where they also found a woman with injuries.

The Tuesday morning commute came to a stressful halt for motorists at the intersection of Nicasio Valley Road and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in San Geronimo. For reasons that remain unknown, two vehicles collided, head-on, at the intersection. The accident not only blocked the intersection, causing traffic delays, but it left one victim trapped inside their vehicle.

The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and found the person, unconscious, and trapped inside the vehicle. Specialized tools were used to free the victim, who had suffered life-threatening injuries. Paramedics at the scene did everything they could to save the person, but they succumbed to their injuries. On that Monday morning in August, in the middle of the intersection, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, reports indicated.
