Monterey County, CA (August 27, 2024) A two-vehicle collision occurred in Salinas on Friday afternoon, August 23rd, 2024. The accident left one person with injuries, officers reported. It all happened at the intersection of Davis Road and West Blanco Road in Monterey County, California, right around 2:45 p.m.
A black Chevy Tahoe SUV and a silver Nissan Frontier were both traveling towards the Salinas interaction, when, for reasons still unknown, the two collided. The force from the impact sent one of the vehicles across both westbound and eastbound lanes, where it stopped, sideways. The black Tahoe was overturned and facing the wrong-way following the accident, reports indicated.
First responders arrived at the scene and found the two vehicles in the middle of the roadway. Officers quickly went to the vehicles, prepared to administer medical aid to anyone in need. Reports indicated that at least one person was injured in this collision. Paramedics at the scene transported the victim to a nearby hospital to receive treatment.

Tow trucks were called to the scene to remove the damaged vehicles and a field of debris and glass on the roadway had to be cleared. The investigation into this accident remains ongoing, officers reported.
