A gray Honda SUV and a black BMW sedan were headed east on the Artesia 91 Freeway on Friday morning when they collided in the no. 1 lane for unknown reasons. The accident sent debris spraying all over the roadway of the interstate and the vehicles came to a stop, blocking the flow of traffic.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the vehicles with major damage sitting in the middle of the eastbound freeway, according to reports. Paramedics arrived at the scene and found one person in need of medical attention. They were placed on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance.
