Vallejo, CA (November 27, 2023) – One person was pronounced dead on Sunday, November 26th, following a tragic head-on collision on Broadway Street in Vallejo, California. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the accident took place just after 12:30 a.m. near the intersection with Sereno Drive.
The Vallejo Police Department reported that the accident occurred when a Toyota Sequoia SUV was driving north in the southbound lanes of Broadway, which is divided by a raised median. This caused the Toyota to collide head on with a southbound Cadillac sedan. The Cadillac was carrying three passengers and the Toyota only the driver.

Paramedics were called to the scene to treat at least one passenger from the Cadillac who had sustained severe injuries. Sadly, despite their best efforts this person passed away at the scene. The condition of the other passengers is not known.
Police are investigating this tragic head-on collision on Broadway Street. They have stated that they do not believe drugs or alcohol to be contributing factors in the accident.
