Lincoln County, NV (June 18, 2024) A collision involving multiple vehicles occurred on US-93 in Lincoln County on Sunday, June 16th. The accident left at least two people with injuries, according to reports. It all happened at approximately 11:37 a.m. near 64 Lane.
Traffic moved steadily along US-93 on Sunday morning. Suddenly, for reasons that are still unknown to police officers, a chain-reaction collision occurred near 64 Lane. The collision left damaged vehicles in the roadway, blocking traffic. Officers had to direct traffic away from the accident and encouraged people to use alternate routes.
Sirens wailed and flashing lights lit up the late morning sky as emergency vehicles made their way to the scene. Paramedics hurried to the vehicles involved in the accident to see if anyone was in need of medical assistance. They found at least two people with significant injuries and prepared them for an ambulance ride. They were taken to a local hospital to receive medical care. However, at this time, the severity of their injuries has not been disclosed.
Officers spent quite a bit of time investigating the scene and gathering evidence. They took statements from those involved as well as witnesses at the scene. Following the investigation, they called for tow trucks to come and remove damaged vehicles. Crews worked as quickly as possible to remove all of the debris from the roadway so motorists could continue on US-93.
