For reasons that remained unknown, five vehicles collided on Highway 120, near the Main Street exit, in Manteca on Monday afternoon. Reports indicated that the accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of the highway. The collision blocked the highway as the damaged vehicles came to a stop.
Officers arrived at the scene and found the five damaged vehicles in the middle of the roadway. Debris littered the highway in every direction, as officers made their way to the vehicles. They were prepared to give life-saving measures to anyone in need and found one person with significant injuries. Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a hospital in the area to receive treatment for unknown injuries.
