(Fullerton, CA) Marianne Casey was tragically killed when a motorist in a stolen vehicle crashed into her car in Fullerton. She was 67 years old.

The pursuit began when a detective witnessed the suspect stealing a white Nissan Rogue shortly before 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday. Fullerton police began pursuing him, and he fled when they attempted to pull him over. In the midst of the pursuit, the suspect caused a non-injury hit-and-run collision near Brookhurst Road and Orangethorpe Avenue before continuing to flee on the 91 Freeway.

The suspect then exited the freeway at Knox Avenue, and police lost sight of the vehicle. La Palma police were able to join the pursuit, which ended when the suspect crashed into Casey’s BMW at La Palma avenue and Moody Street.

Paramedics tragically pronounced Casey dead at the scene. Three other victims were hospitalized, including the suspect, with injuries of unknown severity. As of Thursday, the suspect was in Orange County Jail.
