Las Vegas, NV (October 14, 2024) A single-vehicle accident on Interstate 15 in Las Vegas left a man with fatal injuries. Reports from the Nevada State Police indicated that the accident happened at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 13th, 2024. It happened about 13 miles north of the Las Vegas Speedway, not far from mile marker 65.
It was Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas as a vehicle headed along Interstate 15. For reasons that remain unknown, the driver of the vehicle lost control, while traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle began to roll, officers reported. It finally came to a stop in a desert area several yards from the interstate. A heavy trail of debris covered the freeway and led into the desert area where the vehicle stopped, officers reported.
When officers arrived, they found the vehicle completely smashed and destroyed. They hurried to the wreckage, prepared to give medical aid to anyone in need. Sadly, they found a man with fatal injuries. At this time, it is unknown if the victim was the driver or a passenger inside the vehicle. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities and a coroner arrived at the scene.
Officers gathered evidence and are working to determine what caused this deadly collision on I-15. The Nevada State Police is leading the investigation and reported that it remains ongoing at this time.
