Wrightwood, CA (January 22, 2024) 23-year-old Katie M. Anderson lost her life on Friday, January 19th, when her vehicle was hit by a pickup on Highway 2 in Wrightwood. The deadly crash occurred just before 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Scrub Oak Drive, authorities said.
Anderson was driving a silver Honda Civic sedan when she was struck by a silver Ford F-150 pickup truck. The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene to find the Ford pickup on the side of the road. Both vehicles were severely damaged and the highway was littered with glass and debris from both vehicles.
Anderson was found inside her Honda with major injuries, officers said. The San Bernardino County Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene, but unfortunately found that there was nothing they could do. 23-year-old Katie M. Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford pickup truck survived the accident, but sustained injuries. They were taken to a local hospital to receive treatment for unknown injuries, according to officers. This tragic accident is still being investigated by the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Office.
