Crescent Valley was just beginning to wake up on Saturday morning as vehicles drove along eastbound Interstate 80. Around 5:20 a.m., near mile marker 259, at least two vehicles collided, officers reported. The collision sent debris flying across the interstate and the vehicles blocked the roadway, causing early morning traffic delays. Those involved in the collision sat in the darkness of early morning as they waited for emergency crews to arrive.

The Nevada State Police arrived at the scene fairly quickly and checked the vehicles for occupants who were injured. More than one person had suffered injuries in the accident, reports indicated. Paramedics were requested at the scene to help those who were injured. The sun began to rise as authorities quickly worked to help the injured and direct traffic away from the scene. It is unknown, at this time, if anyone was sent to a hospital or if everyone was treated at the scene.
