Dana Point, CA (November 8, 2023) – Gary Parker, a man in his 50’s, was tragically killed on Sunday, November 5th, after being hit in a DUI accident on Coast Highway in Dana Point, California. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the accident took place at around 8:20 p.m. in the area south of Palisades Drive.
The police reported that two vehicles were involved in the accident. A 2019 BMW driven by 43 year old Evan Madison was travelling south on the highway when it collided with the victim’s 1999 Plymouth.
Gary Parker sustained major injuries in the crash and was transported to the hospital by the Orange County Fire Authority. Sadly he later passed away in the hospital. He was identified by the Coroner’s Office after his family was notified of the accident.

Police investigating the incident found that Evan Madison was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident with a blood alcohol level of 0.21. He was arrested for DUI and later the charges were increased to include second-degree murder.
The death of Gary Parker is under investigation by Orange County’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT).
