Jutupa Valley, CA (May 23, 2024) A four-vehicle collision occurred in Jurupa Valley on Thursday morning just before 8:00 a.m. The chaotic chain reaction crash left four people with injuries on the Pomona 60 Freeway, not far from Valley Way. The California Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred around 8:00 a.m. in the eastbound lanes.

It was early in Jurupa Valley as vehicles traveled along the 60 Freeway on Thursday morning. Without warning, four vehicles in the eastbound lanes suddenly collided. Officers said that it was a chain collision and that it started with one car hitting another vehicle, then that car being hit and finally the third vehicle was hit by a fourth car. The collision blocked two of the traffic lanes on the eastbound side of the freeway.

Paramedics hurried to give medical aid to anyone in need and discovered that all four drivers had sustained injuries in this chaotic collision. Thankfully, none of the injuries were life-threatening, but all four were transported to a regional trauma center by ambulance to receive treatment.

Officers investigated the scene, gathered evidence and took statements from witnesses. They are still trying to figure out what exactly took place on the 60 Freeway in Jurupa Valley and who was at fault in this chain reaction collision. Crews had to clean the debris and glass from the roadway and tow trucks were called to remove the vehicles from the freeway. They were finished and had the lanes reopened to motorists by 11:00 a.m., according to reports.
