Williams, CA (September 1, 2023) At least one person is dead in a collision between a big rig and a pickup on State Route 20 on Friday morning, September 1st. The California Highway Patrol said the collision occurred just west of Williams.

It happened at approximately 6:06 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page. It was near the intersection of Kings Road and State Route 20.
Following the collision, reports came in that the pick up was on fire. The big rig was blocking both lanes of the highway, as well. Traffic was at a standstill following the accident.
This accident is still under investigation.
