(San Diego, CA) A car accident kills a driver and leaves the 41-year-old passenger injured in Lakeside.
The crash occurred at around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday on El Monte Road, near Lake Jennings Park Road, California Highway Patrol reports.
The driver lost control of the 2006 Toyota Tacoma, swerving into an embankment on the opposite side of the roadway and overturned, according to the CHP.
The crash ejected the driver from the vehicle where he suffered fatal injuries. Paramedics declared him deceased at the scene.
CHP informs first responders took the 41-year-old passenger to Sharp Memorial Hospital for unspecified injuries.
