Chiriaco Summit, CA (July 19, 2024) A driver was sadly killed today in a single-vehicle rollover collision. The crash occurred in Chiriaco Summit, a small community located about 19 miles west of Desert Center.
For unknown reasons, his vehicle rolled over multiple times before coming to a stop about 50 feet off of westbound Interstate 10 near Box Canyon Road.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle before it came to a stop.
California Highway Patrol reported that the man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding this crash is ongoing.
