Palmdale, CA (January 16, 2024) A 3-vehicle collision at the intersection of 30th Street West and Columbia Way left a child with serious injuries, reports indicate. The child was airlifted to Children’s Hospital with trauma injuries, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Officers responded to the scene around 4:40 p.m. on Monday afternoon, January 15th. Fire station number 129 with the LAFD sent paramedics. They found 3 vehicles, all with front-end damage, after a head-on collision. Paramedics discovered the child in serious need of medical assistance and called for a helicopter to quickly get the child to Children’s Hospital.
The extent of the child’s injuries are still unknown at this time. Officers are also still not certain what caused this horrible collision, but investigators are working diligently to figure out what exactly happened at this Palmdale intersection.
