      Canoga Park Hit-And-Run Leaves One Seriously Injured

      Canoga Park, CA (August 22, 2024) A two-vehicle collision in Canoga Park became a hit-and-run when the at fault driver fled the scene on August 3rd. The accident occurred on Topanga Canyon Boulevard, not far from Parthenia Street, right around 1:00 a.m., according to reports. The hit-and-run collision left one person with serious injuries.

      It was 1:00 a.m. in Canoga Park on August 3rd, 2024,  A few vehicles on the road traveled through the darkness to their destinations on Topanga Canyon Boulevard. Among the vehicles were a gray 2022 BMW sedan and a white 4-door Acura sedan. Initial reports indicated that the Acura was heading north when it suddenly sideswiped the BMW. The driver of the BMW lost control, due to the force from the impact, and slammed into a pole, according to video footage. The driver of the Acura then hit the gas and drove away from the scene, leaving the driver of the BMW behind with serious injuries.

      The Los Angeles Police Department arrived at the scene and found the lone BMW with major damage, stopped near the pole. Officers found the driver of the BMW with serious injuries as they waited for paramedics to arrive at the scene. Paramedics rushed the injured driver to a local hospital via ambulance. Reports indicated that the driver had sustained “severe” injuries in the accident.

      Officers were able to gather a lot of information from video footage taken at the scene. They are diligently searching for the vehicle responsible for this hit-and-run accident and hope to bring the driver to justice. In fact, they have issued a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who has information that leads to the driver’s arrest and conviction.

      A tow truck was called to the scene to remove the damaged BMW and crews worked to clean up the glass and debris that had been left behind on the roadway.
