(Van Nuys, California) At around 2:57 a.m., a report was made on a two vehicle crash involving a CHP SUV vehicle and a Honda Accord. The collision occurred on Tyrone Avenue and Oxnard Street in Van Nuys.
The crash sent the SUV to go through a wall and rest on the right front and left side doors. The Honda vehicle had front-end damage. There has been no information on who’s fault it was that caused the collision.
California Highway Patrol officer Sergio Garcia confirmed that both drivers were sent to the hospital with a complaint of pain.
The investigation is currently ongoing.

22348 (3) If one or both drivers had three or similar DUI within 5 years, then the fine can exceed 1,000 dollars. The DMV will end up suspending your driving privileges as well.
If alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash, investigators may review 23152 (a). This can be helpful in finding out what the driver that had alcohol in his or her system violated in the state of California. This code states that it is unlawful to be under the influence of any alcoholic beverages in driving the vehicle.
In regards to the illegal percentages of alcohol in the blood system, (b) also states that alcohol in blood of 0.08 percent or more, by weight, while driving is unlawful.
If one or both drivers were addicted to drugs then they can not operate a vehicle, stated under (C).
