It was Saturday evening, July 6th, in Hesperia as motorists headed to and from their destinations along Interstate 15. For reasons that are still unknown, three vehicles collided on the interstate that evening, right around 8:00 p.m. A Toyota Sequoia SUV, a 2019 Mazda CX-5 and a 2023 Nissan Kicks were all involved in the accident. One of the vehicles had seven occupants inside, officers reported. The damaged vehicles blocked two of the interstate’s three lanes and caused traffic delays.

Paramedics went to each vehicle, ready to give medical aid to anyone in need. They found at least three people with injuries, one of whom needed emergency care for non-life-threatening injuries. They were placed in an ambulance and taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to reports.

The CHP Victorville Station is leading this investigation. They are determined to not only figure out what caused this multi-vehicle collision, but also who was responsible. A tow truck was called to the scene to remove at least one of the vehicles from the roadway, reports indicated. Crews cleaned up debris following the initial investigation and worked as quickly as they could to get all of the lanes reopened to motorists.
