Madera, CA (October 5, 2023) At least 1 person was injured in a 2-vehicle collision on Road 406, just north of Road 209, in Madera. The California Highway Patrol said the collision occurred around 12:24 p.m. on Thursday, October 5th, 2023.
The collision occurred between a white Honda Accord and a white Toyota SUV, just west of the closed Madera Quarry. California Highway Patrol said the airbags were deployed in one of the cars but one occupant still hit their head during the crash.

The Madera Fire Department was dispatched to help anyone who was injured. Authorities said at least one person was injured but it’s unknown if anyone was hospitalized.
Tow trucks were called to remove damaged vehicles from the roadway while investigators worked the scene. It is still unknown what caused the accident or who was at fault.
