      3 Injured, Including Police Officers, In LA collision

      Los Angeles, CA (June 27, 2024) A collision occurred in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 23rd, that involved a police cruiser and left three people with injuries. Reports indicated that two Police officers sustained minor injuries in the accident and another person was critically injured. At approximately 6:00 p.m., the vehicles collided at the intersection of Gramercy Place and Adams Boulevard.

      Calls about a psychiatric patient wielding a knife came in on Sunday evening. Two police officers responded to the calls and headed towards the location. As they sped to the scene, emergency lights flashing and sirens blaring, they collided with another vehicle. It happened right at 6:00 p.m. in the intersection of Gramercy Place and Adams Boulevard. As the two damaged vehicles sat in the middle of the intersection, the officers called for help.

      Other police officers from the Los Angeles Police Department arrived at the scene with paramedics. They found the patrol car with front-end damage and a civilian vehicle, also with severe body damage. Paramedics located the two officers with minor injuries. They were taken to a local hospital to to receive treatment, but will make full recoveries, according to reports. The driver of the civilian vehicle was found with critical injuries, officers reported. He was found breathing, but unconscious, they reported. Paramedics rushed him to a local hospital to receive emergency care for his injuries.

      Investigators are working to determine what caused this accident at a Los Angeles intersection. Officers want to remind drivers to be sure they can hear sirens while they are driving. They also want to remind drivers to be prepared for unexpected situations. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and crews cleaned up the debris following the investigation, according to reports.
