(Glendora, CA) 10 people sustained injuries, six in critical condition in a 210 Freeway three-vehicle crash in Glendora.

On Saturday, August 16, at about 7 p.m., the 210 Freeway three-vehicle crash occurred. According to authorities, it happened on the westbound lanes of the 210 freeway at Lone Hill Avenue.

When first responders arrived at the collision site, they found three vehicles involved. After assessing the scene, the Los Angeles County Fire Department determined 10 people sustained injuries. They transported six patients to the hospital in critical condition, including a child. Police are investigating the cause of the 210 Freeway three-vehicle crash.

Legal Opinion of the 210 Freeway Three-Vehicle Crash

A lawyer speaking with a client regarding an accident.

The 210 Freeway three-vehicle collision signals possible violations of California traffic safety laws. One likely law in play is California Vehicle Code 22350, the Basic Speed Law. It states drivers must not go faster than is safe for current conditions, even if they are under the posted limit. Freeway crashes with this many injuries often happen when a driver goes too fast or fails to react in time to slowing traffic.

Another key law is VEH 22107, which applies to unsafe lane changes. If any of the three drivers changed lanes without signaling or checking for nearby vehicles, that could be the factor in the crash. This law also requires all turns or lane shifts to be made only when safe to do so.

When children are injured, California courts tend to take a closer look at long-term medical needs. The fact that six people are in critical condition means there may be multiple claims for hospital bills, rehab, and ongoing care. Police still have not shared which driver may have caused the crash. Once they complete their investigation, the at-fault party could face civil lawsuits from all injured victims.

    What the Victims Can Do

Right now, the most important thing is to focus on healing. The victims should not wait too long to speak with a personal injury attorney. A lawyer can collect key evidence such as traffic camera footage, witness interviews, and the 210 Freeway three-vehicle crash report. That evidence will be critical in proving fault and securing compensation.

Each injured person may have the right to file a personal injury claim. These claims can cover emergency treatment, surgeries, follow-up care, emotional trauma, and lost wages. An experienced attorney can help coordinate with insurance companies. In a crash involving three cars and ten people, insurance limits can get complicated. Acting early ensures that each injured person has a fair chance at financial support. California law generally gives victims two years to file injury claims.

We at Accident News Now extend our deepest condolences to the family of the victim. We know this is a difficult time as you mourn the tragic and sudden loss of a loved one.
