    2 Cars Hit Fireworks Stand In Visalia; 2 Injured

    Visalia, CA (July 6, 2024) A chaotic accident occurred in Visalia on Saturday, June 29th. Two vehicles slammed into a fireworks stand at Giddings Street and Walnut Avenue, leaving two people with injuries. The accident occurred around 4:00 p.m., officers reported. Thankfully, the stand was unoccupied at the time of the collision.

    It was a typical Saturday afternoon in Visalia as motorists headed to and from their destinations. Suddenly, at the intersection of Giddings Street and Walnut Avenue, two vehicles collided, for reasons that remain unknown. The force from the collision sent both vehicles barreling into an abandoned fireworks stand on the street corner. One of the vehicles then rolled over, officers reported.

    Emergency crews arrived at the scene within minutes and found the two vehicles with major damage. The fireworks stand that stood on the street corner at the intersection, was destroyed, reports indicated. Paramedics found two people with non-life-threatening injuries following the collision. At this time, it is unknown if they were treated at the scene or taken to a local hospital. Nor, has it been disclosed how severe the victims’ injuries were.

    Officers began investigating the scene and taking statements from witnesses. They have asked that anyone with information regarding this accident, contact the Visalia Police Department. The clean up for this accident took quite a while, as debris including the damaged fireworks stand. The investigation into this accident is ongoing as officers determine not only what caused this collision, but who was at fault.
