Glenview, NV (May 14, 2024) Sadness gripped the community of Glenview following an accident that killed a teenage boy and left three others injured. Sadly, 17-year-old Marko Niketic did not survive the two-vehicle crash. It happened at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 12th, at the intersection of East Lake Avenue and Meadow Lane. Niketic was a senior at Glenbrook South High School and this fatal accident has left the community in shock.

Niketic was driving his girlfriend home on Sunday night when he collided with another vehicle at the intersection of East Lake Avenue and Meadow Lane. Initial reports indicated that Niketic was turning from Meadow Lane to East Lake Avenue when he was hit by another vehicle.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the two vehicles, both with serious damage. Paramedics found Niketic in the driver’s seat, unresponsive. With heavy hearts, emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. His girlfriend was a passenger in the front seat of the vehicle. Paramedics found her alive, but she had sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident. The driver in the other vehicle was found with injuries, but they were non-life-threatening, according to reports. There was a passenger in that vehicle as well, who was seriously injured. Paramedics took all three victims to a local hospital, via ambulances, to receive treatment.

Officers are investigating this fatal collision to piece together what exactly happened at that Glenview intersection. The vehicles had to be towed and crews had to clean up debris following the collision. A memorial has been placed at the scene to honor Marko Niketic. His friends and classmates gathered around it on Monday, May 13th to remember Niketic and the wonderful person he was.
