Bakersfield, CA (November 3, 2023) One person lost their life on Friday morning, November 3rd, after a fatal, 2-vehicle crash in Bakersfield, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision took place at South Edison Road and Di Giorgio Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at the intersection near the railroad tracks. Two vehicles were involved but there is no other information about the cause of the accident at this time.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene quickly and sadly found one person who was pronounced dead at the scene. The Kern County Sheriff Coroner responded to the scene following the discovery of the deceased. The victim’s identity has not been released.
Police closed South Edison Road in both directions just north of the intersection. They also notified the San Joaquin Valley Railroad about the accident near their tracks.
Crews were busy cleaning the roadway of glass and debris and a tow truck had to come and remove at least one of the vehicles involved in this collision. Officers are investigating this accident to determine what caused it and who was at fault in the Edison Road crash in Bakersfield.
