Valencia, CA (October 28, 2024) The driver of a car in Valencia was injured after a stolen pickup crashed into them on Sunday night, October 27th, 2024. The senseless accident happened at Tournament Road and Wiley Canyon Road, around 11:30 p.m. The driver of the stolen pickup fled on foot following the collision.
It was a late October night in Valencia as a vehicle approached the intersection of Tournament Road and Wiley Canyon Road. Unknown to the cars driver, a stolen pickup truck was approaching them. The pickup was reported stolen from a Ford dealership on Creekside Road approximately 30 minutes before it arrived at the intersection. In a panicked effort to continue fleeing, the driver of the stolen pickup slammed into the other car at the intersection.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found the stolen pickup truck with a large, blue tank in the back. It sat, empty, with damage from the collision. The pickup truck had also hit a traffic signal as well. The other vehicle was also badly damaged. Emergency crews hurried to the car and found the driver with serious injuries. They were transported to a hospital in the area, via ambulance, to receive emergency treatment.
Detectives with the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Department are investigating this collision. They are determined to find the suspect responsible and bring them to justice.
