(Los Angeles, CA) Multiple people were injured Monday evening, December 15, in a Jetway Boulevard collision involving three cars and an airport shuttle bus near LAX.

Authorities received reports of the crash at around 5:25 p.m. The incident occurred at Jetway Boulevard and Westchester Parkway, near an airport parking structure. LAFD personnel evaluated 25 people at the scene. Paramedics transported two individuals from the cars involved to the hospital. First responders determined one in serious condition and the other with minor injuries.

AIR7 video showed a black sedan that appeared to have rear-ended the LAX shuttle bus, with two additional sedans positioned beside it. Officials have not yet determined what led up to the crash.

Opinion on the Jetway Boulevard Collision

When a vehicle rear-ends a bus or another car, investigators often reference the Following-Too-Closely Law. This statute requires drivers to maintain a distance that allows enough time to slow or stop safely. Its principles help determine whether inadequate spacing contributed to the Jetway Boulevard collision.

Because multiple vehicles were involved near a busy airport corridor, analysts may also consider the Basic Speed Law. This law requires motorists to travel at speeds safe for traffic density and roadway conditions. Airport zones often have heavy pedestrian and shuttle traffic, making safe speed a key factor in assessing how the crash unfolded.

Investigators may additionally look to the Lane Usage and Safe Movement Law. This statute ensures drivers remain in their lanes until it is safe to move, an important consideration in multi-vehicle collisions where sudden lane shifts or crowding can intensify impact forces like the Jetway Boulevard collision.

    Guidance for the Injured

If your loved one was among those hurt in this collision, you should request the official collision report from LAFD or LAPD once it becomes available. This report can help clarify the sequence of events and assist with insurance or medical claims.

You may also wish to consult a personal injury attorney experienced in multi-vehicle crashes, especially those occurring in high-traffic airport zones. They can help guide you through medical expenses, lost wages, and other recovery needs.

Lean on family, friends, and community support during this stressful time. Sudden injuries and uncertainty are difficult to navigate, and compassionate assistance can help you manage the days ahead.

If you have any concerns about navigating the legal process surrounding this incident, call 866-883-4318 to speak with a lawyer.
