Los Angeles, CA (November 7, 2023) One person was killed and 4 others were injured when a Metro Bus and a minivan collided in downtown Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The accident occurred around 5:11 a.m. on East 17th Street.
The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene of the 2-vehicle collision and found one person trapped inside the minivan. Fire fighters worked to free the person from the vehicle as paramedics evaluated others and treated the injured. One person was killed in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene by authorities. Their name has not been released.

Four other people sustained injuries in the collision. 3 of the four injured people were taken to a local hospital, via ambulances, to receive treatment for injuries they received. The extent of their injuries was not disclosed. The bus driver was one of the injured but declined help at the scene.
Crews got to work cleaning the scene and a tow truck was called to remove the minivan from the roadway.
