Ricky Bryant has been identified as the victim of a hit-and-run crash occurring in Fruitvale late last week. The accident occurred at the intersection of International Boulevard and 29th Avenue.
The driver, who is yet to be identified, was driving a stolen Hyundai and crashed into a van in traffic, causing the car to careen into the bike lane. 62 year-old victim Ricky Bryant, an Oakland local, was riding his bicycle west on International Boulevard when the car collided with him.

Bryant was thrown off the bicycle into the road. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he passed away.
The driver of the Hyundai fled the scene on foot. The officials encourage anyone with information about the accident to call the police.
