HESPERIA, CA (OCTOBER 14, 2023): One person is in critical condition following a bicycle accident in Hesperia Thursday evening.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department reports the collision occurred at around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Longview Avenue, when a Lexus sedan struck a bicyclist.

Upon arrival of emergency personnel, the male bicyclist was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital where he was later airlifted to a trauma center.
The Lexus sedan stopped and cooperated with authorities. It sustained major damage to its passenger side and lower bumper.
It is unclear what caused this collision. The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation of this Hesperia bicycle accident.
