Fresno, CA (October 18, 2023) A man on a scooter was struck and killed by an SUV in Fresno, according to the Clovis Police Department. The man was riding east on Shaw in the westbound crosswalk.

It happened around midnight. A small SUV was driving and struck a man on an electric scooter. Officers said the SUV was going on a green light and had the right-of-way at the same time as the scooter was crossing.
Authorities detained the driver of the SUV, but the reason for this is still unknown. This accident is currently under investigation.
