EL MONTE, CA (JULY 28, 2023): A teenage boy was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while riding his bicycle in El Monte on Wednesday. Authorities report that the driver struck the teen and then fled the scene before being spotted by officers. In a second attempt to flee the scene, the driver crashed into an innocent vehicle. The suspect remains in custody.
