Collierville, CA (June 20, 2024) A bicyclist was injured on Wednesday morning, June 19th, when they were hit by a vehicle on Collier Road. The San Joaquin County collision took place right around 7:12 a.m., which isn’t far from Kennefick Road.
Morning sunlight covered the town of Parkway on Wednesday morning, June 19th, as a bicyclist rode along Collier Road. As they rode, a vehicle approached and, for reasons that are still unknown, struck the bicyclist. The force knocked the rider from the bike and left the bicycle dented and damaged. The driver o the vehicle pulled over and called 911 and remained until police officers arrived at the scene.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the bicycle and its rider lying on the ground. They hurried to the bicyclist’s side and discovered that the bicyclist had sustained injures in the collision. They were taken to a local hospital, via ambulance, and the dented bicycle had to be removed from the scene.
Detectives began investigating the accident and are working to determine what caused this accident on Collier Road in Collierville. Officers reported that this case is ongoing.
