Los Angeles, CA (August 19, 2024) On Sunday, August 18, two drivers were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Vermont Knolls. At about 5:03 a.m., first responders were sent to 959 W. Manchester Ave. There, they found two motorists, both trapped in their vehicles. Firefighters removed them after “extensive extrication.” Tragically, both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. It’s unclear what caused the collision–an investigation is still ongoing. The victims have been identified as Carlos Rompich-Cobach, 54, and Nordarrion Braswell, 31, both of Los Angeles. Florence-Graham, CA (August 19, 2024) At about 2:40 a.m. on Friday, August 16, a fatal collision occurred on Manchester Avenue and Alameda Street. CHP was called to the scene of the two-vehicle crash involving a silver Toyota Sequoia and a white sedan. When they arrived, they found one victim lying on the ground. Long Beach, CA (August 16, 2024) A fatal hit-and-run between a vehicle and a pedestrian happened in Long Beach on August 3. At about 12:15 a.m., Long Beach police responded to the crash at Pacific Coast Highway and Atlantic Avenue. It was about 11:20 p.m. when officers heard about a collision at 19563 Ventura Boulevard. Saul Goldberg (87) and a 73-year-old friend were riding southbound on South Higuera Street when a driver sideswiped one bike and hit the second, sending both men falling to the ground.
